The Help Center was founded in 1999 to serve the immigrant community in Annapolis. It has educational services and programs that reach thousands of people throughout Anne Arundel County and beyond. It is a recognized and trusted organization within the immigrant community.

The Center uses the strong and trusting relationships it has cultivated within the Latino community to support MALVEC, promoting messages that counter the doubts that exist around the COVID-19 vaccine among the Latino population and connecting them with services and resources. , including access to the vaccine. The Help Center works with the City of Annapolis to provide locations where community immunization clinics can be established.
